A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM: Suraya is currently directing this madly magical Shakespeare comedy at San Quentin State Prison with a group of inmates. Produced by Marin Shakespeare Company, MIDSUMMER will be performed in March of 2009.
With her friend Ingrid Severson, Suraya is currently co-writing and rehearsing an original script for a political burlesque show, which will utilize humor to examine the ways in which political policy and the personal woundings of the policy makers sometimes collide in not-so-healthy ways….
Suraya has also been developing an original play with middle school students at a school for adolescents with Asperger’s Syndrome. The play, entitled: “Lost in Time,” will be performed in January 2006.
